Two huge events/problems are going consuming most of my thoughts lately.
I'm really stressed out.

and to boot

its entirely possible that my tendency to over think everything has tainted my view of reality.

So I got a job at Books-A-Million.

I had to go in and read millions of training manuals yesterday.
ummm...torture?
When I left to go on my lunch break, I kind of didn't want to go back.

The people that work there seem....old.

School is starting Monday. I'm not sure where summer went.

In bad news:

I am still unemployed and I never want to work again.
but
I'm broke.
so I have no choice.

In good news:

I have a really funny/cute/smart/amazing boyfriend.
How cool is that?!
(pretty cool.)

In indifferent news:

bread is okay.

P.S I got a 92% on Surrender while playing expert!
This is the highlight of my life.

...yet it's still not that impressive.

which says a lot about my life.

So I drove over to see Karina both yesterday and today. She is doing so much better.
I'm so happy all of this is almost over.
I just wish a bird hadn't collided with my windshield on the drive up.
Karina thought it was funny.

I think I may go up on Friday and spend the morning there
I have to work 6-1 that night.
So I'll have to leave at 3 to make it back in time
gah.
I just hate the idea of her being there alone.

Anatomy, my worse class, is getting better.
only because now I have someone to take the online quizes with me.
which are timed, seem to be written in a different language and are not affiliated with the information presented in the book at all.

Things with ka just seem to be getting worse.
they are moving her across the state to a long term care facility.
which scares me.
I've started dreading phone calls with her mom because nothing ever changes
unless its for the worst

this weekend was wierd/bad
but oddly enough I was in a really good mood though most of it.

including getting pulled over.

but I just got a warning.

which is a story all in itself.
the cop thought it would be funny to come back to my car and tell me there was a warrent out for my arrest.
and I was like "are you serious?!"

In my mind I'm having an anxiety attack.

he pauses, just glares at me, then says
"NO, I'M JUST KIDDING!!"

wtf?!? Are they allowed to do that?

I have never felt so lame in my life.

As for the more important issues, things are slowly getting better, I just hate having to wait so long.

and even if it was gibberish it was still nice to talk.

Dear journal,

I will be seeing all of my friends soon and I am very excited!
I do wish that Rocky Votolato had picked a more convenient time to tour
but I guess I can get over not seeing him
maybe,
not really
but umm it he ever decides to tour outside of washington again
(very unlikely)
I will be the first one to buy tickets.
I hope all is well in Africa
or at least getting better
and stuff.
I have school tomorrow
yet I won't get to sleep until past 3

My schedule is finally turning into something I can look forward to. Instead of a group of classes I have to take because there is nothing else left.

Currently, the only class I'm signed up that I don't really want to take is cultural anthropology.
and I'm optimistic about something else becoming available in time for the spring semester.
If not I guesss I won't be too disappointed.

So this morning I get to school and step out of my car to see smoke starting to pour out of the engine.
a lot of smoke.

and I'm just like fuck it/whatever.
and walk away.
no use in having a broken car AND being late to class.

Walking away, I picture my car in the middle of the parking lot in flames
I'm just waiting to hear a tremendous BOOM to signify it has been destroyed.

But it turns out it has not exploded yet.
I'm not sure if I should try to drive it to a car shop or just have it towed.
(possible death?)
towing is so expensive!

I don't get out of school until 9:00 tonight.

For the simple fact that Ben Kweller is adorable.

But going to Boston made me wish that the summer would get here faster so everything will be like it used to be.
